Ahhhhhh I really really love Paris. What a city. All the architecture, music, art, cafes, people….. just the best! I spent September and October 2023 in Paris at the Cite des Arts. I was there to explore my ideas for figurative and portraiture work. My first two weeks I was lucky enough to have my daughter and granddaughter spend some time with me and we made the most of the galleries and parks and we spent many hour sketching in different places.
I had a portrait commission to do while I was there so that kept me busy and while I was resting from a shoulder injury I turned my had to some thread work and I did a restoration project on a second hand denim Jacket. Jacket cost 5 Euros, the thread, a lot lot more. But I love the end result and its one of my favourite jackets now.
